Dr. David C. Koronkiewicz is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who realizes his most important responsibility is to his patients and their quality of life, and is respectful of the fact that they have put their trust in him. In his current position, Dr. Koronkiewicz serves as an orthopedic surgeon at Goshen Orthopedic Care, specializing in joint replacement surgery, sports medicine, arthritic conditions and general orthopedic problems, including the care and treatment of fractures.

Prior to joining Indiana University Health Goshen, this dedicated physician maintained a successful practice, North Central Orthopedics in Goshen, Ind. In addition, he served his country in the United States Air Force Medical Corps as a staff orthopedist, physician advisor and clinical preceptor at Luke Air Force Base in Arizona. During his service, he was promoted to major and received the Air Force Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service.

Dr. Koronkiewicz received his Bachelor of Science from Philadelphia College of Textiles & Science in Philadelphia. He then earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, where he was awarded a United States Air Force scholarship, the William F. Diaber D.O. Memorial Award for exceptional ability in the field of cardiology and Frederick H. Barth Memorial Award for excellence in the field of bronchopulmonary and upper airway diseases. He completed his internship and residency at Osteopathic Medical Center in Philadelphia, being elected chief intern and orthopedic resident, while there. As a leader in his field, Dr. Koronkiewicz has given several medical presentations at professional meetings, been published in peer-reviewed publications on various orthopedic topics and completed several continuing education courses. Plus, he’s served as a past president of the Indiana Osteopathic Association.

When he is not busy with his medical commitments, Dr. Koronkiewicz is extremely active within the community. He has been the Goshen High School team physician for more than 10 years and currently serves as the President of the Board of the Goshen Park and Recreation Department, after having been a board member for the past 12 years. He is also a member of the Goshen High School Dollars for Scholars Fund Raising Committee, and mentors youth as an assistant coach in local baseball, football and basketball leagues.
